Getting back into guildwars...
Hi guys, i have a little problem
Every once in a while i tend to get busy with something else than GW, but the time allways comes when i want to play it again. It's like that right now, i really miss playing. However, i find it almost impossible to start again. I log in, walk around for a sec, check my storage, and then i log out again. I simply lack any inspiration or sense of purpose playing. This has happened many times before, but i've allways come over it. However, it seems that i can't do that this time. Anyone with tips? Thanks alot |

You could start a new character? I find that usually helps when I'm in your situation.

What I usually do is one of two things:
1) Take an under-used elite skill, capture it if I don't already have it on a certain character, then see if I can make a decent PvE build with it. 2) Grab a character and see if you can make a decent use out of a non-primary weapon or class combnation. My most recent choice was a dervish with a spear and motivation shouts - I use him in a paragon heavy team. |

I throught this happen just to me ^^. I am in the same situation now.
Anyway, last times, i just started to make a title (surv for example) and tried to max it. Try to do a title witch requires less grinding than others. |

The best way jump in is do a zq if you don't have guardian on all characters yet. It is not as lively as when it was first introduced, but I believe people still do them. If you don't have any guild or friends that still play the zq is a viable way to pug and collecting zcoins is a nice little side activity that should hold your attention for a while. You may also want to jump into a casual pvp like ra/jq/fa.

Go to the areas where the PvE Zaishen quests and missions are and invite a bunch of paragons, mesmers, and rangers. Have em ping, tell they suck, and then kick them.

If you are severely lacking motivation to enjoy a game, don't play it. Wait until a big update is launched, or when GW2 goes live.
It's kinda obsessive to search for a sense or a purpose of doing something fun. |

I've felt very similar about GW, WoW etc too at different times. Ok, seriously, if you're lacking motivation for playing the game, give this article on mmorpg.com a read, just posted the other day, hope if gives you food for thought:
http://www.mmorpg.com/showFeature.cf...e-To-Quit.html I get the same myself with GW from time to time. Lately I've just been busy all the time and it's hard to focus on GW or get into something simply because I don't know where to begin, and what could I do with the hour or so I'd have? When I have the time more and more I find myself hitting up dungeons i enjoyed in the hope that maybe I'll lose track of time and stay there til the end, and you know what, it works! I also play a little WoW and have dabbled in other MMOs, including LOTRO, Aion and Conan, and have tonnes of games for my PS3. Variety as they say is the spice of life. Just know the difference between giving yourself variety or overwhelming your senses |

Take your favourite PvE guy, swap out only his res and rank skills, and join AB-PUGs with him.

I would be another one who would say "make a new character".
- Make a character in a class you haven't tried yet. I've now taken each class to level20 and I find that they can all be fun in their own way. - Make new character without aiming for a particular build - just use whatever skills come along and work well. (you'll probably eventually end up with a standard build.) - take a character through pre-searing, doing all the quests and exploring the whole map. |
